Brave browser adds Shred feature for site-specific data deletion on iOS

bleepingcomputer.com

Brave Browser 1.71 for iOS has launched a new feature called "Shred," allowing users to delete browsing data for individual websites. This feature aims to enhance privacy by removing site-specific data without affecting other sites. Shred can be activated manually or automatically. Users can delete cookies and caches with a single tap, avoiding the need to log out of all websites. The feature can be set to activate when closing a site or restarting the browser. While Shred improves data management, some data may still remain due to Apple’s restrictions. The Brave team plans to introduce Shred to Android and desktop versions in the future.
