Bong Go urges prayers for arrested ex-President Duterte

Senator Bong Go has called on Filipinos to pray for former President Rodrigo Duterte after his arrest for crimes against humanity. Go made the appeal during a Facebook live event at Villamor Airbase, where he was waiting for Duterte's arrival. Duterte was arrested on March 11 upon landing in Manila, following a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court. The warrant relates to allegations of crimes during his administration's controversial war on drugs. The Philippine Presidential Communications Office confirmed the receipt of the arrest warrant. Reports indicate that thousands of deaths occurred during Duterte's anti-drug operations from 2016 to 2022.
