Boebert denies ethics complaint alleging staffer relationships and $200,000 payment

US Rep. Lauren Boebert has denied allegations in a sworn ethics complaint that she had sexual relationships with three congressional staffers and that about $200,000 was paid to one of them to prevent an ethics complaint from being filed. The complaint, dated September 17, was submitted to the US House Committee on Ethics by David Wheeler of American Muckrakers. It names Clarice Navarro Ratzlaff, Raven Finegan and Jeffrey Small, alleging that Boebert had relationships with all three while they worked in positions under her supervision. Boebert's representative told TMZ on September 19 that the allegations were "utterly false" and described the complaint as a politically motivated attempt to generate headlines. Navarro Ratzlaff has also denied the allegations, calling them "entirely false, defamatory, and beyond ridiculous."
