Body of Shiri Bibas reportedly en route to Israel after Hamas mix-up

The body of Shiri Bibas is reportedly on its way to Israel after Hamas failed to deliver her remains along with those of her two sons. The Red Cross is involved in the transfer, which is expected to occur on Friday. Hamas had previously claimed a mix-up occurred, leading to the delivery of an unidentified corpse instead. The correct remains were confirmed after Israeli authorities identified the bodies of her sons, Ariel and Kfir, along with peace activist Oded Lifshitz. Shiri Bibas was kidnapped on October 7, 2023, during a Hamas attack that resulted in the deaths of 1,200 Israelis. Her husband, Yarden Bibas, was released earlier this month after being held hostage.
