BMW Group improves logistics, finance with SAP architecture

BMW Group is advancing digitalization by implementing a new cloud-based SAP architecture to enhance production logistics and financial processes. This will improve efficiency and enable AI usage. The company is rolling out digital production logistics to four plants by the end of the year, including the Munich headquarters and a new plant in Hungary. A new financial data model is also being implemented to accelerate analysis and control. This initiative, part of a partnership with SAP, aims to standardize processes, improve data transparency, and support the expansion of electromobility. The project began in 2023 and is ongoing.
