Blue Ghost successfully landed on the Moon, filming it

Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost successfully landed on the Moon on Sunday at 3:34 a.m. ET, capturing stunning footage of its descent and touchdown. The mission, named "Ghost Riders in the Sky," landed in Mare Crisium, near Mons Latreille. The nearly 3-minute video showcases Blue Ghost's smooth landing, highlighting its shadow on the lunar surface. This marks Firefly as the second private company to achieve a Moon landing, and the first to do so while remaining upright. Since landing, Blue Ghost has begun surface operations, deploying payloads and sampling lunar regolith. It carries 10 NASA instruments to gather data for future human missions as part of NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative.
