Blue Ghost spacecraft captures stunning moon video

The Blue Ghost spacecraft has captured a close-up video of the Moon, showing Earth rising and setting behind it. This footage was recorded as the spacecraft prepares for its first lunar landing on March 2. The video, taken from about 120 km away, highlights the Moon's surface and the distant Earth. Blue Ghost has completed three lunar orbits and is now readying for its descent. If successful, Blue Ghost aims to be the first spacecraft to photograph a sunset from the Moon. Unlike Earth, a lunar day lasts about 29.5 Earth days, making lunar sunsets a unique event.
