Blue Ghost lunar lander successfully delivers NASA experiments
Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lunar lander successfully touched down on the moon, delivering a drill, vacuum, and other experiments for NASA. This marks the first successful private landing without crashing, a significant achievement in lunar exploration. The lander, launched in January, is part of NASA's commercial lunar delivery program, which aims to foster a lunar economy. Blue Ghost will operate for two weeks, conducting experiments before lunar daytime ends. Two more landers are set to follow, with Intuitive Machines' lander expected to land later this week. This mission continues efforts to establish private lunar operations, despite past failures from various companies.
