Blue Ghost captures first sunrise photo on Moon
Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lander has captured the first sunrise on the Moon after landing on March 2 in the Mare Crisium region. The photo shows the Sun's rays illuminating the Moon's craters. The Blue Ghost mission, launched on January 15, carries 10 NASA payloads. It aims to conduct scientific experiments and technology demonstrations over a lunar day, which lasts about 14 Earth days. The lander will explore the lunar environment and capture phenomena like lunar horizon glow, last seen by Apollo astronauts over 50 years ago.
