Birmingham nursery issues stranger danger alert after incident

A nursery in Birmingham has raised a "stranger danger" alert after a man approached a shopper at an Aldi store. The incident happened on Thursday, March 20, around 1.45 PM, in Acocks Green. The man, described as "dirty-looking," asked to hold a child’s hand. He claimed he had a child at the nearby Little Steps Nursery, but the nursery confirmed this is untrue. The nursery quickly notified parents and carers about the situation. They emphasized that all children are safe and encouraged vigilance when picking up kids from school. The man was reported to be wearing grey joggers and a cream top. He is described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall, broad, and having dark hair. West Midlands Police are investigating the matter. They confirmed they received a report of suspicious behavior and are looking into it further.
