Bhout opens first Boston gym this November
The Portuguese startup Bhout will open its first gym in Boston, Massachusetts, in November, marking its entry into the U.S. market. The company, which created an "intelligent boxing bag," plans to open ten gyms this year. Bhout's CEO, Mauro Frota, stated the Boston location is secured, with the company aiming for a network of 400 gyms in the U.S. The company is also expanding in Spain and is in advanced negotiations in other markets, including the Middle East and Southeast Asia. Bhout is also focused on its "Coach AI" technology and factory automation in Leiria, Portugal, to support its expansion. The company is currently in the process of closing a pre-Series A funding round.
