Bengaluru tops Swiggy Instamart orders for sexual wellness products in 2024 report

Swiggy Instamart's 2024 report reveals diverse shopping habits in India, highlighting a record purchase of gold coins worth over Rs 8.3 lakh by a customer in Gujarat. The platform's catalog now includes items ranging from snacks to luxury goods. The report notes that Bengaluru led in orders for sexual wellness products, with one in every 140 orders including such items. Late-night shopping peaked between 10 pm and 11 pm, with popular choices being snacks and flavored condoms. Additionally, significant purchases were made in other cities, including Rs 20 lakh spent on kitchen essentials in Delhi and Dehradun. Mumbai recorded a single-day order of Rs 8.2 lakh for tonic water, reflecting changing consumer preferences.
