Bengaluru Metro Yellow Line to launch first train on January 6
Bengaluru Metro's Yellow Line, connecting RV Road to Bommasandra, is set to dispatch its first train on January 6, 2025. This marks a significant step after multiple delays since its planned completion in 2021. Titagarh Rail Systems will deliver the second train by late January or early February, with a third train expected in April. The company aims to increase production to two trains per month by September. Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation officials confirmed operations will start with three trains, running every 30 minutes. The delays were primarily due to train procurement issues and compliance with local manufacturing requirements.
