Barnes & Noble updates holiday return policy ahead of Christmas season

Barnes & Noble has updated its holiday return policy, allowing customers to return items purchased from November 1 to December 31 until January 31, 2025. This includes devices like NOOKs, but proof of purchase is required. Customers must have a gift receipt or other documentation to return items. Full refunds are available for new or unopened items, while those with gift receipts will receive store credit. Certain items, like magazines and used books, cannot be returned. Shoppers can return items to any Barnes & Noble location nationwide. The bookstore chain has also recently closed all locations for 24 hours and shut down a store in California earlier this year.
