The Bank of Thailand has identified 10 mobile apps illegally offering personal loans. It plans to remove these apps, including Fineasy and Happy Loan, from the App Store and Google Play Store. The central bank reported these apps to the Personal Data Protection Committee for further action. It found that only one app from a list of 11 was operating legally. Complaints have been filed against Oppo and Realme for pre-installing these apps on devices. The central bank is also monitoring other suspicious apps to prevent financial scams.
