Bandai launches Gundam Assemble tabletop game to expand franchise reach

Bandai has announced a new tabletop game called Gundam Assemble, aiming to expand the Gundam franchise beyond models. Players will use 5cm figures in various wargaming scenarios, featuring characters from across the series. This marks Gundam's entry into tabletop gaming, following a revival of its collectible trading card game last year. The game will include unpainted starter figures with unique abilities, representing key moments from the franchise. Additionally, a beta for the collectible card game will launch in North America this month, alongside a theatrical release of the new Gundam anime.
