Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti announced on Monday that the government will enforce strict measures against anti-state activities in the province. He emphasized that no closures of highways or protests would be allowed. Following recent terrorist attacks in the area, Bugti began a meeting with prayers for the victims. He warned government employees about the consequences of engaging in anti-state propaganda. Bugti instructed local officials to identify and take legal action against such employees. Additionally, he announced initiatives to promote national pride. The national anthem will be sung, and the national flag hoisted in all educational institutions. Heads of institutions who do not comply could lose their positions. Bugti reiterated the importance of government authority and urged officials to follow government policies or resign. He also stated that extortion at checkpoints will not be tolerated, with immediate arrests for those involved. The Chief Minister urged district officers to communicate the government's efforts in providing education and development opportunities for the youth. He criticized anti-state elements for leading young Baloch into unnecessary conflict and highlighted the need for a focus on development rather than violence. To support youth employment, Bugti announced a program offering interest-free loans in collaboration with the Akhuwat Foundation, an NGO. This initiative aims to build trust in the government among young people by promoting merit and opportunities.
