Bacolod City completes first housing building under national program
Bacolod City has become the first locality to complete a housing building under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing program. Mayor Alfredo Benitez led the turnover of Building 1 of the Asenso Yuhum Residences to the first beneficiaries. Documentation is in progress for additional beneficiaries who will receive units in Buildings 2, 3, and 4. The project is a collaboration between the Bacolod Housing Authority and private partners, including WRS Holdings Consortium. The 4PH Project aims to build one million housing units each year until 2028 to address the housing shortage in the Philippines. The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development has reported 1.2 million housing projects in the pipeline.
