Baby rhino recovers from hyena attack with help from UK knitters
A baby rhino named Hercules is recovering from a hyena attack in South Africa, thanks to a knitted blanket from residents of a care home in Redcar, UK. The group, known as the Knitting Nannas, created colorful blankets for the rhino sanctuary. Hercules suffered serious injuries but is expected to recover well. The blankets were sent over 5,000 miles to the Care For Wild Rhino Sanctuary, where staff shared a photo of Hercules under one of the blankets with the knitters. The Knitting Nannas spent months crafting the blankets for the charity Blankets for Baby Rhinos. Their efforts support wildlife orphanages and raise funds for equipment. The charity hopes to encourage more people to help protect endangered rhinos.
