Astros ballpark to become Daikin Park in 2025 under new naming rights deal
The Houston Astros' ballpark will be renamed Daikin Park starting January 1, 2025. This change comes as part of a 15-year naming rights deal with Daikin Comfort Technologies, replacing the current name, Minute Maid Park. The first game at Daikin Park will be an exhibition match against the Sugar Land Triple-A team on March 24, 2025. The regular season will begin there on March 27, 2025, against the New York Mets. Minute Maid Park has been the name since June 2002, following a brief period as Astros Field. The new agreement with Daikin will last until 2039, while Minute Maid will remain a partner until 2029.
