Ashton Jeanty announces NFL draft plans and aims for Heisman Trophy
Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty announced he will enter the NFL draft after this season. He is currently the nation's leading rusher with 2,288 yards and 28 touchdowns, and he aims to break Barry Sanders' single-season rushing record. Jeanty is a candidate for the Heisman Trophy and will have a final opportunity to impress voters in the Mountain West Conference championship game against UNLV. He needs 341 yards to set a new single-season rushing record. The Broncos, ranked No. 10 in the College Football Playoff, are 11-1 this season. They previously defeated UNLV 29-24 in October, where Jeanty rushed for 128 yards.
