ARX Robotics launches platform to upgrade military trucks to autonomous vehicles

ARX Robotics has launched a new platform that can upgrade legacy military vehicles into autonomous units, similar to an Amazon Firestick. This system, called ARX Mithra OS, includes hardware and software to enhance military trucks with AI capabilities. Previously, ARX focused on unmanned ground vehicles and secured a significant contract for deployment in Ukraine. The new operating system allows for over-the-air updates and aims to connect outdated military fleets with modern technology. The startup's founders, former German military members, identified a gap in interoperability among NATO forces. They emphasize the need to modernize existing equipment rather than replace it, addressing challenges faced in current warfare.
