Arizona Rep. Raúl Grijalva dies at 77 from cancer

Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva of Arizona has died at 77 due to complications from cancer treatment. He served 12 terms in Congress and was known for his work in environmental protection. Grijalva was the chair of the U.S. House Natural Resources Committee until earlier this year. He had been absent from Congress while undergoing treatment. His office highlighted his achievements, including protecting the Grand Canyon and supporting the Affordable Care Act. Another Democratic congressman, Rep. Sylvester Turner, passed away last week.
