Apple surpassed $5 trillion in market value on Tuesday, becoming the second company ever to do so. The iPhone maker's stock reached a high of $342.89 before closing at $340.08, up 0.9 percent. Apple is now the world's largest company by market value. Only Nvidia had previously exceeded $5 trillion, achieving it last October. Nvidia's market value is currently $4.771 trillion.
