Anvisa recalls three coffee brands in Brazil
Brazil's health regulatory agency, Anvisa, has ordered the recall of coffee-flavored drink mixes from three brands due to contamination and mislabeling. The products are banned from sale, distribution, manufacturing, advertising, and use. The recall follows inspections revealing the presence of ochratoxin A, a mycotoxin, and foreign materials like coffee husks in the products. The agency also cited issues with manufacturing practices and misleading labeling that could deceive consumers about the product's contents. The affected brands are Master Blends, Melissa, and Pingo Preto. Anvisa has advised consumers not to consume these products. The companies have not yet issued a statement regarding the recall.
