Antiques Roadshow guest stunned by £1 million value of rare Faberge ornament
A guest on the BBC's Antiques Roadshow was surprised to learn that a Faberge flower ornament, belonging to an army regiment, is valued at £1 million. This makes it the most expensive item ever featured on the show. Colonel Stamford Cartwright presented the ornament, made of enamel, gold, diamond, and jade, during a 2018 episode in Dudley. The piece is one of only 80 of its kind and serves as a reminder of the regiment's history and fallen comrades. Jewellery expert Geoffrey Munn expressed excitement over the ornament's value, calling it a "towering masterpiece" and an "object of fantasy." Presenter Fiona Bruce noted that the news of the ornament's significance quickly spread among the show's team.
