Antiques Roadshow guest shocked as rusty model valued at £1 million

A guest on Antiques Roadshow was surprised to learn her "rusty" item was valued at £1 million. This marks the first time a valuation of this amount has been featured on the show since a 2008 episode. The item is a small-scale model of Antony Gormley’s Angel of the North, which was previously valued at £800,000. The model had been stored in a council office for 13 years before being appraised. Expert Philip Mould explained that the valuation was based on a recent sale of a similar, larger piece. The guest expressed her astonishment at the valuation, calling it "amazing."
