Animated film Flow replaces capybara voices with baby camel for character

vulture.com

The animated movie "Flow" will not feature real capybaras after the team found their voices unsuitable. Instead, a baby camel's voice was chosen for the character, as capybaras were difficult to record realistically. Director Gints Zilbalodis explained that the capybara's high-pitched sounds did not match the character's vibe. A clip of a tickled capybara revealed it sounded more like a barking dog. "Flow" is set to stream on Max starting February 14. There is speculation about a possible alternate cut featuring the original capybara recordings.
