"American Dad!" ending on TBS, moving back to Fox

American Dad! will stop airing new episodes on TBS after its season finale on March 24. This finale will also mark the end of the show on the TBS network. However, reruns will still be available until 2030. The show, created by Seth MacFarlane, may return to its original network, Fox. Reports say it is considering a multi-season renewal at Fox, where it shared airtime with Family Guy. American Dad! started on Fox in February 2005. It remained there for nearly ten years before moving to TBS in October 2014. The show was the last scripted original on TBS and had its last two-season renewal granted in 2022. The animated series follows Stan Smith, a patriotic CIA agent, and his quirky family in Langley Falls, Virginia. The voice cast includes MacFarlane, Wendy Schaal, and Rachael MacFarlane, among others. When it ends its TBS run, American Dad! will have aired 388 episodes in total across both networks.
