Amazon unveils new eco-friendly packaging for Echo, Kindle, and Fire TV devices
Amazon has introduced new packaging for its Echo, Kindle, and Fire TV devices, using more recycled materials and less ink. The redesign features 30% more recycled fiber and 60% less ink, moving away from bleached materials. Previously, Amazon's packaging included plastic wraps, which have now been replaced with water-based coatings and paper-based wraps. The new design aims to enhance recyclability and reduce environmental impact. Additionally, Amazon has implemented tactile QR codes on Quick Start Guides to improve accessibility for customers with visual impairments. The company has also reduced overall packaging weight and eliminated plastic air pillows in deliveries.
