Alamir Bakery in Wellington enters liquidation after 32 years of supplying Lebanese food

Alamir Bakery in Wellington has entered liquidation after 32 years of operation. The family-run business was a key supplier of Lebanese food products, including pita bread and hummus, to supermarkets and restaurants across New Zealand. The company has halted production, and liquidator Heath Gair has been appointed. Alamir Bakery previously employed 28 staff and operated two factories, but faced challenges during the Covid-19 lockdown. Alamir Bakery's products were widely available in major supermarket chains, including Foodstuffs and Woolworths.
