Alabama State defeats Texas Southern in SWAC Tournament

D'ante Bass scored 16 points off the bench as Alabama State defeated Texas Southern 84-79 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament. This victory marks Alabama State's advancement in the tournament. Antonio Madlock contributed 15 points, while CJ Hines also scored 15 points, including three three-pointers. Alabama State led 41-29 at halftime. Zaire Hayes led Texas Southern with 24 points. Kavion McClain and Jaylen Wysinger added 15 and 14 points, respectively, but the team could not overcome the deficit.
