Akshay Kumar worked for free on box office flop

Bollywood star Akshay Kumar faced a tough time at the box office recently. His film "Selfiee" was a major failure, earning only Rs 24.6 crore against a budget of Rs 100 crore. In an interview, producer Prithviraj Sukumaran shared that Akshay did not take any payment for the movie. He stated, "He only said, ‘If the film makes money, then I’ll take my remuneration.’ The film did not do well, and he did not take any money." "Selfiee," directed by Raj Mehta, is a remake of the Malayalam film "Driving Licence." The cast includes Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Diana Penty, among others. Despite its high budget and star power, the film received mixed to negative reviews from audiences. This failure adds to Akshay's string of unsuccessful films over the past few years.
