Airbus A340-300 sees limited global operations with only 34 active aircraft remaining

The Airbus A340-300, once popular with 218 deliveries, now has only 34 active aircraft worldwide as of November 2024. European airlines operate the majority, with Lufthansa holding the largest fleet of 13 A340-300s. In Africa, South African Airways and Eswatini Air are the only operators, with South African Airways flying one active A340-300. The Middle East has six operators, led by Mahan Air with three active A340-300s. No A340-300s are currently active in South America. The Venezuelan airline Conviasa has one A340-300 in storage, while it operates two A340-200s and two A340-600s.
