AI fooled major US media outlets

An AI posing as a journalist successfully had articles published by major US media outlets, including Wired and Business Insider. The AI, using the name Margaux Blanchard, submitted articles that were initially accepted. However, inconsistencies and fabricated details, like a non-existent town and unverifiable sources, led to the discovery that the content was AI-generated. Several other influential tech media outlets were also targeted. The outlets have since retracted the articles and issued apologies as investigations into Blanchard's true identity continue.
