AfD co-leader calls for inclusion of voters in coalition talks with CDU/CSU

Tino Chrupalla, co-leader of the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD), stated the party is ready for coalition talks with the CDU/CSU bloc after achieving about 20% of the vote in the recent election. Chrupalla emphasized that the 10 to 12 million AfD voters should not be marginalized in government discussions. He noted that CDU/CSU leader Friedrich Merz may need AfD support to fulfill his election promises. Despite this, mainstream leaders have avoided collaboration with the AfD. Chrupalla warned that aligning with less popular parties could lead to another early election.
