Aegean Airlines connects Istanbul to Greek islands with flights
Aegean Airlines launched four new seasonal flights connecting Istanbul to the Greek islands of Rhodes, Crete, Mykonos, and Santorini, fostering tourism between Greece and Turkey. The announcement, made at the Greek Consulate in Istanbul, also included a new flight from Izmir to Athens. The event highlighted tourism's role in strengthening Greek-Turkish relations, encouraging travel and business cooperation between the two nations. This initiative aims to increase mutual understanding and economic growth. Officials hope to expand the flights year-round, building on the growing tourism between the countries, with nearly a million Turkish visitors to Greece in 2024.
