Aegean Airlines connects Greek islands, Izmir with Istanbul, Thessaloniki
Aegean Airlines announced new seasonal flights connecting four Greek islands with Istanbul, alongside a new route between Izmir and Thessaloniki. This expansion aims to boost tourism and strengthen ties between Greece and Turkey. The Greek islands of Rhodes, Crete, Mykonos, and Santorini will now have direct seasonal flights to Istanbul. The announcement was made at an event in Istanbul, attended by the Greek Consul General and tourism officials. The new routes are expected to foster tourism, business, and understanding between Greece and Turkey. The visa-express program for Turkish citizens visiting Greek islands has also been extended for another year.
