Aboitiz Power to build first geothermal battery storage hybrid system in Laguna

AP Renewables Inc. and Aboitiz Renewables Inc. have signed a contract with Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute to build the Bay Battery Energy Storage System in Laguna. This project will be the first geothermal and battery storage hybrid system in the Philippines. The Bay BESS Project will enhance the existing Makban geothermal plant, allowing it to provide quick support to the Luzon grid during peak demand and outages.
