50 police officers assigned for Kim Soo-hyun's fan meet
Kim Soo-hyun is expected to attend the Kaohsiung Cherry Blossom Festival in Taiwan on March 30. This event will include a fan meeting despite a recent controversy surrounding him. His professional activities have been on hold, leading some brands to end their partnerships with him. Around 50 police officers will be present at the event to ensure safety and manage any disruptions. The festival, marking Kim Soo-hyun's first public appearance since the controversy began, has not requested extra security specifically for him. Instead, the police presence is part of the festival's overall security plan. Kim Soo-hyun is set to spend 40 minutes at the fan meeting, where 200 lucky fans will have the chance to meet him through a lottery system. Earlier reports suggested he could face a penalty of approximately 1.32 billion KRW if he decided not to attend, but organizers have confirmed he will be there as planned. The controversy began after the death of actress Kim Sae-ron. Her aunt accused Kim Soo-hyun of being responsible, claiming he had been in a relationship with her while she was underage. However, Kim Soo-hyun's agency, GOLD MEDALIST, has denied these allegations. They stated the two began dating in 2019 after Kim Sae-ron turned 18, and their relationship ended in 2020. GOLD MEDALIST also responded to claims about private photos shared by Kim Sae-ron, clarifying that these images were taken in 2020. They provided evidence that disproves claims that the photos were from years earlier when she was still a minor.
