Terraform Industries develops cost-effective synthetic natural gas system

Terraform Industries has developed a Terraformer system to produce synthetic natural gas using solar power and air. The system, roughly the size of two shipping containers, includes an electrolyzer, direct air capture system, and chemical reactor. The company achieved cost reductions, producing hydrogen for less than $2.50/kg and filtering CO2 for less than $250/ton. Terraform aims to achieve cost parity with conventional natural gas and transform global energy systems.
