Summary: Researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and collaborators developed a risk prediction model for kidney injury after cisplatin chemotherapy, analyzing data from over 24,000 patients across six U.S. cancer centers. The highest-risk patients had a 20-fold higher risk of kidney injury. Lower magnesium levels were identified as a significant risk factor.
