A 10-year-old boy named Sanjeev Kumar was killed by a pack of stray dogs in Mohi village, Ludhiana district, on Monday. The boy was playing near fields owned by Sarabjit Singh when the attack occurred. Sanjeev was bitten multiple times, especially on the neck, and he died while being taken to Pandori Hospital in Mullanpur. The boy lived with his grandparents after losing his father. His grandfather, Shankar Shah, said he and his wife were working in the fields when the dogs attacked. After the tragedy, local officials, including Jagraon ADC Kulpreet Singh and police officers, visited the family. They promised to provide support. This incident comes after two similar attacks earlier this year. In January, a 10-year-old boy and an 11-year-old boy were also killed by stray dogs in nearby areas. In response to these attacks, the district administration has started a dog sterilization program to control the stray dog population.
