Zurich named best city for expats in 2024 as Switzerland dominates top rankings

A new report by Mercer ranks Zurich, Switzerland, as the best city in the world for expats in 2024. This marks a change from last year when Vienna, Austria, held the top position. Zurich's high ranking is attributed to its excellent public services, low crime rates, and vibrant cultural scene. The city has also improved its airport connections, increasing international flights. Switzerland has four cities in the top ten: Zurich (1st), Geneva (3rd), Bern (9th), and Basel (10th). Vienna now ranks second, while other cities like Copenhagen and Auckland also made the list.
