This promotion humorously references CEO Deepinder Goyal's recent controversial ₹20 lakh job offer for a Chief of Staff. Goyal had proposed that candidates pay a ₹20 lakh fee to apply for the position, which he later clarified was a filter and not an actual charge. Zomato's social media team responded with a playful post, stating, "no need to pay us Rs 20 lakh." Additionally, Goyal has extended his salary waiver for another two years, meaning he will not receive a salary until March 2026. This follows a previous waiver that began in April 2021, totaling five years without pay.
