Zomato captures 58% of India's food delivery market in Q1 FY25, Blinkit leads quick commerce

Zomato holds a 58% market share in India's food delivery sector for Q1 FY25, up from 54% in FY22. Its main competitor, Swiggy, has a 42% share. Zomato's gross order value reached Rs 9,264 crore, compared to Swiggy's Rs 6,808 crore. In the quick commerce market, Zomato's Blinkit leads with a 46% share, followed by Zepto at 29% and Swiggy Instamart at 25%. This sector is growing rapidly, but food delivery remains the largest revenue source for both companies. Zomato's average monthly transacting customers stand at 20.3 million, while Swiggy has 14.03 million. The competition between the two companies continues to intensify across food delivery and quick commerce.
