Zelenskyy condemns Kyiv spy agency shootout as 'shameful'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned a shootout in Kyiv between the SBU and GUR intelligence services that wounded three officers, calling it "absolutely shameful" and vowing consequences. He fired a senior SBU officer and ordered prosecutors to investigate. The gunfight reportedly stemmed from the SBU detaining a leader of an anti-Kremlin Russian unit fighting for Ukraine under GUR oversight. Zelenskyy stated that shooting is only permissible at Russian occupiers, emphasizing the state will not tolerate any other shootout. Russian drones struck central Kyiv for a seventh consecutive day, wounding 11 people and damaging buildings, while strikes on Odesa and Dnipro killed two and cut power to over 350,000 homes. Separately, Norway seized a Russian cruise ship over unpaid Crimea compensation, and Ukraine urged ICAO to ban airlines from Russian airspace.
