Zelensky warns of potential clash with North Korean troops in Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that North Korean troops are preparing to engage in combat within days. He noted that around 3,000 North Korean soldiers are already near the front lines, with numbers expected to rise to 12,000. Zelensky's comments follow reports that North Korea has sent about 10,000 soldiers to support Russia's military efforts in Ukraine. This involvement raises concerns about regional stability, particularly for countries like Japan and Australia. The U.S. Department of Defense confirmed that a small number of North Korean troops have arrived in Russia's Kursk region, with more soldiers on the way. Russian forces are currently facing challenges from Ukrainian counter-offensives in the area.
