Zelensky: Russia Escalates Attacks Across 13 Ukrainian Regions

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that Russian overnight attacks caused destruction in 13 Ukrainian regions, including a drone strike on an apartment building in Odesa that injured 17 people, three of them children. Zelensky stated that Russia has found a new escalation and does not plan to reduce its pace, as air raid alerts persist in many cities due to the threat of Russian jet drones. He called for accelerating joint production of defense systems with Europe, primarily missile and drone air defense. The attacks on the night of September 3 involved 163 Russian drones of various types, most of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defense, though some strikes hit targets. Fires and rescue operations continued in the Kyiv region and at a pharmaceutical warehouse.
