Zelensky: Russia Escalates After Night of Drone Attacks Across Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported a new escalation by Russia following a night of drone attacks across the country, with air raid alerts nearly continuous in many cities and communities. The attack damaged a residential building in Odesa, injuring 17 people including three children, while strikes were also recorded in Nikopol, Kherson, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Khmelnytskyi. Destruction was reported in 13 regions, with emergency services working in Odesa, Obukhiv, and Boryspil districts. Zelensky called for strengthened response and air defense capabilities, urging faster European production of protective systems, including both anti-missile and anti-drone defenses. He said Ukraine continues daily work with partners on new defense packages.
